There are countries people love to visit. And then there are countries people rather tend to leave - what can we find when we move in there for a while? Ukraine is a large state full of large problems, a land which has recently gone through two revolutions on the way to democracy. A country haunted by a military war in the east and fighting for democracy and constitutional state in the central part.

Even though local civil society has to face strong opponents and hard conditions, they managed to succeed in reforms in an extraordinary way. What can we learn from Ukraine - our almost-neighbouring country?
