Art That Gives A Voice To The Refugees

Bryan McCormac TEDxPrague 2017

What if art could give voice to people who don’t have one? Bryan had an idea to visualize European refugee crisis and let “speak” those who actually live it. Several hundred refugees, from over 60 nationalities, in majority children, often illiterate. Refugees in centres, camps, squats and shelters across Europe. People coming off refugee boats at Hotspot camps on Greek islands to refugee centers in the UK. People we don’t know at all as we have accepted only 12 of them in the Czech Republic.

Those participated in creating their own contemporary culture and voice whilst simultaneously losing all traceability of their inherited culture. Traceability is credibility, without it, the existence of people disappears.
