About TEDx
TEDxPrague is a non-profit initiative centring around ideas worth spreading – sharing inspiring ideas and stories. TEDxPrague, inspired by TED and under its license, was established in 2009. That makes us a part of the independent worldwide movement TEDx.
TED (short for Technology & Entertainment & Design) is a global foundation devoted to ideas worth spreading since 1984. It currently embraces interdisciplinary conferences TED, TEDGlobal, TEDYouth and TEDWomen, annual award TEDPrize, live broadcast, an extensive video archive of talks subtitled by volunteers in dozens of national languages, independent (licensed) TEDx conferences worldwide and other communication channels.
